In the decade of the 50s and early 60s Ipiña mainly painted landscapes of Estella. It is where the foundations of his painting will be forged. In the early oil paintings, Cubism is evident in the development of landscape interpretation, from its composition to its conclusion. Gradually, Expressionism begin to overcome on the basis of Cubist composition to extend the communication possibilities. The stroke will strengthen, like the color of his palette.
